When Davis got a community hospital
Davis Community Hospital opened in 1968 with 49 beds on County Road 99, part of the infrastructure expansion accompanying the city’s rapid growth.
As Davis doubled in size during the 1960s, new institutions followed. Davis Community Hospital, the predecessor named in the City’s local-history account, opened in 1968 with 49 beds on County Road 99. Its arrival was one marker of the town’s transition into a much larger university community.
