Where Emerson Junior High used to be
Emerson Junior High began in the 1960s at Fifth and B streets downtown before moving to its current Calaveras Avenue campus for the 1979–80 school year.
Emerson did not always sit on Calaveras Avenue. The school began in the 1960s at Fifth and B streets in downtown Davis. DJUSD says a new site was built in the late 1970s and the present campus opened for the 1979–80 school year.
